 Hi parents, We had a great first day back. It feels good to be back in the classroom and I really appreciated how well the students were able to fall right back into our old routines. It was kind of like we never left. :) It looks like when my email was deactivated my old blog was also deactivated, maybe forever, which is a real bummer, I'd always planned to look back and reminisce someday down the road.... Anyway, today we continued working on all the same things we'd started before the strike - Wayside School paragraph writing, spelling practice, and math using the stamp game. The Stamp Game math was especially efficient today, I was quite impressed by that. We went outside for kickball in gym, and there was a crazy tailwind, so everyone was able to absolutely send it out of the park.  We did Daily LA, and I told the class a scary story. Halloween is on Friday, and as always, students are encouraged to wear their costumes to school. Please make sure the costume doesn't f...
